How We Use AI
ResuBlue uses large language models (LLMs) to assist with resume writing, parsing checks, cover letter generation, and career coaching. All AI-generated content is clearly labeled and intended as a starting point - you retain full control over your final resume.
AI output is generated fresh for each request. We do not store AI-generated drafts beyond your active session unless you explicitly save them to your vault.
What AI Cannot Do
- AI does not make hiring decisions. ResuBlue is a writing tool, not a recruiter.
- AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. Always review and verify before submitting applications.
- AI does not have access to live job postings or recruiter preferences unless explicitly fetched via our integrations.
Colorado AI Act Disclosure (SB 24-205)
Pursuant to the Colorado Artificial Intelligence Act (SB 24-205, effective June 30, 2026), ResuBlue discloses the following:
- High-risk AI system: ResuBlue uses AI that assists with resume content - content that may influence employment-related decisions. This qualifies as a high-risk AI use under SB 24-205.
- Nature of AI involvement: AI generates resume bullets, parsing-friendly review signals, cover letters, and career coaching suggestions. No AI system makes hiring decisions - that judgment rests solely with employers and you. All scores and review signals are statistical estimates, not guarantees of any employment outcome.
- Consequential decision definition: Under SB 24-205, a “consequential decision” includes employment-related outcomes. Our AI generates draft content; the consequential decision is made by you and employers independently.
- Risk management: We maintain an AI risk management policy aligned with the NIST AI RMF. AI outputs are labeled, errors are disclosed, and human review is always available.
You have the right to opt out of AI-assisted features, request a review of AI decisions that affected you, or ask questions about our AI risk management practices by contacting support@resublue.com. We will respond within 30 days.
AI Providers
ResuBlue uses the following AI provider in current production source. By using AI features, your resume content is sent to this provider subject to its privacy policy:
Primary: Groq (GroqCloud) - United States
- Retention: Governed by Groq's published data controls and the ResuBlue production account configuration
- Training on customer data: Not used for training according to Groq's current provider documentation
- Model: Meta Llama 4 Scout / Llama 3.1 8B (fallback)
- EU data transfers: Standard Contractual Clauses
- Privacy policy: groq.com/privacy-policy
The current production source routes AI requests through Groq only. Groq data controls and Sentry replay/retention settings must be re-verified by the operator before broader public launch. If you opt out of AI features, AI providers do not receive your content.
AI Personalization
When you use AI tools and rate outputs (thumbs up/down), ResuBlue learns your writing preferences to improve future suggestions - for example, preferred sentence length, industry vocabulary, and output style.
This data is:
- Stored only within ResuBlue's own infrastructure
- Used exclusively to improve your own AI output quality
- Never shared with other users or third parties
- Not used by ResuBlue to train AI models
- Deletable at any time: Account Settings → Reset AI Preferences
Legal basis (GDPR): Legitimate interests - direct service improvement. This constitutes automated processing under GDPR Article 4(4). You have the right to access, correct, and erase this data.
Human Review
AI outputs are not reviewed by ResuBlue staff before being shown to you. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content before use. We recommend treating all AI output as a first draft.
